Maximising the Home Space
It is possible to live large in a small home. That is, if you know how to make full use of your available space. Today, it is almost always difficult to get a large house, what with all the strict lending terms and the high housing costs. Nevertheless, you have the option to create a spacious home out of whatever you already have.
One of the ways to make your abode look spacious is through practicing orderliness and cleanliness. So, keep the floor clean because the bigger the floor space, the bigger the room feels. Define the centre of the room and arrange the furnishings around it. Use attic and basement space for extra storage. Never hoard items you do not need, such as damaged or old appliances and furniture; better donate, sell, or give them away. Merge your living spaces; for example, your kitchen and dining can be placed inside one room. Go for multifunctional and multipurpose stuff like a sofa that turns into a bed or a bed with drawers underneath. Also, invest in folding furniture that you can readily store away and in armless chairs to promote smooth movement and feeling of openness. Install shelves, cabinets, and racks up the walls for storage. Use extra spaces into useful ones such that the space beneath the stairs is turned into closets and the steps into drawers. These seemingly unusable areas can become nooks for storing household items.
